Labeling or Writing On CDs

Recently a customer came to us asking if we could duplicate a CD.  She told us that she had been to 3 other places and nobody could duplicate her CD.  It was a silver CD with a hand written label.  After one look at the CD I could tell the problem.  She had labeled the burned side of the CD.

If the disc is a generic disc with no obvious place to write a label, the way to tell which side is which is to look for the burn ring.  The side the data is written on will have an off-colored ring.  Write your label on the other side.  This small mistake can cause big problems and is easy to avoid.
